If you do not have a specific date in mind for your shoot and/or we can schedule the session on a weekday morning/afternoon you can book a week in advance. However I can only photograph a limited number of lifestyle sessions over weekends, so I suggest booking around 2 months in advance to avoid disappointed.
Yes definitely! Most destination shoots make the most beautiful images! However travel fees are not included in the cost of the shoot.
Not at all! I photograph all types of lifestyle shoots and I also document a number of Weddings throughout the year.
I shoot with professionally graded and recognised Canon equipment, I also have two identical camera’s should something happen to my main camera on the day of the shoot.
Yes, most definitely! I always have a double backup of my working hard drives should something happen to my first backup. Then I also have a business grade Seagate Backup System on which all my work goes after I have finished processing & editing it on my working hard drives.
You will receive a customised USB Flashdrive and an online link for you to download your session’s images.
When it comes to outdoor shoots the time of day and the best lighting is an hour before sunset, photographers refer to this time as the golden hour. If however a late afternoon session is not possible, not to worry, we can arrange a mid morning session at a chosen location and just stay in open shade areas. Indoor shoots can be done at any time during the day from 09:00 to 15:00, after that it can get quite dark indoors as the natural light starts to fade.
I try and shoot with natural light when possible as natural light creates the soft romantic images displayed on my website and portfolio, also nothing beats natural light’s quality. So when choosing your location for the shoot I would suggest a room/area with large windows to allow plenty of natural light flowing into the room. However where there is not enough light I will use my camera flash or studio lights.
I firmly believe in printing your special moments! I offer a range of beautifully crafted and tastefully designed albums that you can choose from and order before or after your shoot. I also offer a variety of other product options like photo prints, special paper options, fine art products, image folio’s and canvases.
Absolutely! Once your session is confirmed and booked I will send you some ideas and help you plan your shoot. The more effort you put into the styling of your shoot the better your images will come out.
Yes definitely! Professionals know exactly what products and techniques to use and apply to ensure your hair and make-up is camera ready, this will also make you feel beautiful and confident for your session.
Generally the best time for your maternity shoot is when you are between 28-35 weeks pregnant, but remember everybody is different. It depends on how fast your belly shows and how pregnant you want to be on your images.
The best time to photograph newborn sessions are within the first 10 days of your babies birth.
We usually book a date around 5 days after your due date. As soon as baby arrives just let me know and we can adjust the date if necessary!
I would recommend securing your booking 6-12 Months in advance especially for peak seasons to avoid disappointment. Also make sure you book in advance as I only take on a limited amount of wedding throughout the year. However I have made bookings on very short notice as well, you can make bookings any time between 1-12 Months in advance if the date is available.
Yes definitely, no distance is too far! Most destination weddings tell the most beautiful love stories! However travel fees are not included in the cost of my wedding packages.

I try and shoot with natural light when possible as natural light creates the soft romantic images displayed on my website and portfolio, also nothing beats natural light’s quality. However during the reception, that usually goes into the evening, when there is not enough light I will use my camera flash equipment to add light.

I would definitely recommend a meeting if you are situated in the Nelspruit area. But if you are situated far from Nelspruit and a meeting will be difficult to arrange due to logistics it is not necessary. The meeting is important to explain and discus Marné Photography’s working methods and processes and how I go about photographing a wedding day. It is also a great opportunity for you to ask questions should you have any. But I have also photographed many clients weddings that come to the Lowveld for destination weddings without having a meeting and it made no difference on the wedding day, all still went perfectly!
Should you decide to book me as your wedding photographer I would like to schedule a meeting at my office in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga.
I will send you a wedding day timeline that you complete before the wedding day in order for me to know where I should be and at what time. This also helps me to make sure that I am at all the different key elements of your wedding day without missing anything. Until I send you my wedding day timeline you can take the following times into consideration in order for me to have enough time to capture everything on your wedding day.
